Overview
Stancor Forgings supplied EN19 / 42CrMo4 Alloy Steel and 16MnCr5 Case Hardening Steel in 600 mm to 1400 mm diameter for pinion and gear blanks normalised for tooth cutting at the gear shop in Oman, released against EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificate with the heat treatment chart and ultrasonic report.
The challenge
The customer needed pinion and gear blanks normalised for tooth cutting at the gear shop that arrived to the ordered specification and size, on the build or shutdown slot, and fully traceable to a heat number — with the test records attached rather than promised.
What we did
We released 210 MT of EN19 / 42CrMo4 Alloy Steel and 16MnCr5 Case Hardening Steel in 600 mm to 1400 mm diameter, inspected before despatch, marked with the heat and part reference, and shipped against the programme with EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificate with the heat treatment chart and ultrasonic report and the ordered test and inspection reports in one document pack.
